High\u2011grade wire rod is fed into automated cold headers, which shear and form the material into near\u2011spherical ball blanks at room temperature. This efficient process produces blanks with excellent material density and creates the foundation for all subsequent operations.<\/p>\n\n<h5>Heat Treatment \u2013 Optimizing Hardness and Structure<\/h5>\n<p>Our steel ball manufacturing facility uses continuous heat\u2011treatment furnaces with precise atmosphere control. The blanks undergo carburizing, quenching, and tempering processes to achieve the target core hardness (typically 58\u201165 HRC) and case depth. A regulated cooling sequence ensures consistent microstructure and dimensional stability.<\/p>\n\n<h5>Grinding &#038; Lapping \u2013 Achieving High Precision<\/h5>\n<p>Rough\u2011ground balls pass through multiple stages of fine grinding and lapping on high\u2011precision production lines. These machines remove microscopic peaks, progressively improving roundness and surface finish.
